Salary based on SBPA to be postponed

Salary payment for the month of February will still be paid according to SSM scheme and not SBPA. Finance Ministry in a statement said the SBPA salary for civil servants who signed and chose the SBPA option would  not be implemented as announced on 9th January.

The salary payment based on SBPA will be only done after the review is completed, which is ongoing now. Prime Minister said he has given Ketua Pengarah Perkhidmatan Awam a period of 3 months to review and improve the SBPA scheme. That is around April when teachers can enjoy their salary increase.

The table shows how the salary change from old scheme to new SBPA scheme through the salary scales ( Tangga Gaji ).

But bear in mind the SBPA scheme is under reviewed currently and certainly there will be more changes to it.

Cuepacs has been asking for some amendments which few of them include salary change from old to new scheme for grade DG54 and below as well as review of salary increase of 7% to 13%.
